Amnesty International Switzerland is one of over 70 country sections. It implements Amnesty International's global and regional campaigns and is involved in national human rights issues. It provides information, education and youth work and contributes to the financing of the international organisation.

Pink Cross

National Umbrella Organization

 

Pink Cross is Switzerland’s national umbrella organisation of gay and bisexual men* and represents their interests in all four language regions. We stand in for gay and bisexual men’s interests in politics, administration, as well as the public.

The Swiss Lesbian Organisation LOS is the national umbrella organisation for lesbian, bisexual and queer women in Switzerland. We fight for the legal and social equality of lesbian, bisexual and queer women.

The Transgender Network Switzerland, or TGNS for short, is a nationwide organisation founded in 2010 by and for transgender people. TGNS aims to represent the interests of individual trans people, their local groups and organisations at national level and to facilitate networking between them.

The umbrella organisation Regenbogenfamilien represents the concerns and interests of rainbow families in Switzerland and acts as a point of contact for authorities, politicians and the public. The association promotes the social and legal equality of rainbow families.

InterAction Suisse

InterAction is a Swiss national association for intersex people or people with congenital variations of sex characteristics. We are part of the LGBTIQ+ family and also collaborate with other civil society networks and human rights organisations.

Milchjugend

National Umbrella Organization

 

Milchjugend is the largest youth organisation for lesbian, gay, bi, aro-ace, trans and intersex young people, and for everyone in between and beyond. With Milchjugend, we create spaces to enable contact and exchange between young people who do not want to identify with heteronormative concepts of gender, sexuality and relationships. 

HAZ - Queer Zürich

National Umbrella Organization

HAZ – Queer Zurich is one of the largest LGBTQIA+ organisations in Switzerland and has been campaigning since 1972 for the respect of fundamental and human rights and full legal equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in all areas of life.

It is a peer-to-peer advisory service and reporting office for anti-LGBTIQ violence. Our advisory services are open to all people who have questions and concerns regarding LGBTIQ life – no matter their own sexual orientation or gender identity.

ABQ

School visits for queer education

ABQ is a non-profit organization in German-speaking Switzerland. ABQ is a play on words combining ABC and Q for queer. Our school visits allow young people to meet queer people directly. This creates an opportunity for open dialogue and helps to break down barriers and prejudices. The goal of our work is to enable young people and teachers to form independent opinions on sexual and gender diversity.
